The 16th edition took place in June 2025 — featuring choirs, dance groups, and costume presentations by the Lower Sorbian minority, integrated into the Cottbus City Festival.

The Sorbian/Wendish Festival is a long-standing tradition of the urban and Sorbian cultural life in Cottbus. It demonstrates how a minority remains vibrant with its language and traditions — while being integrated into the daily life of the German majority society.
