Edition 2025 — Sonnenblumenfest

The 39th edition of the Sonnenblumenfest in Essen-Kupferdreh took place from September 12 to 14, 2025, featuring a district festival and Kirmes (funfair). The Werbegemeinschaft Essen-Kupferdreh once again hosted the established event — live music, Sunday shopping, a children's flea market, and rides attracted visitors from all over Essen and the Ruhr region.

Sonnenblumenfest 2025

The 2025 edition of the Sonnenblumenfest followed its proven program: three days of festival atmosphere on Kupferdreher Straße and in Benderpark, live music on the festival stage, a continuous Kirmes (funfair) with rides and food stalls. The Sunday shopping (1 PM–6 PM) and the children's flea market, as in previous years, were central program highlights on Sunday afternoon.

The Werbegemeinschaft Essen-Kupferdreh — the festival's organizing association — once again confirmed the Sonnenblumenfest's position as one of the established district festivals in southeastern Essen with its 39th edition, setting the stage for the 40th anniversary in 2026.
