Edition 2025 — Sonic Pluriverse

The 2025 edition of the Sonic Pluriverse Festival, titled 'Bass Cultures', brought acts like Manou Gallo, The Congos, and Sammy Dread to the Haus der Kulturen der Welt. The focus was on the global significance of the bass frequency and its contribution to bass-oriented musical traditions.

With the 'Bass Cultures' edition in 2025, the HKW established the Sonic Pluriverse Festival as an annual format for global music traditions. Featuring Manou Gallo, The Congos, and Sammy Dread, the festival presented globally recognized voices from the Afro-Caribbean bass universe. In 2026, festival curator Alaa Zouiten continues the series with a focused Gnawa program.
