In the summer of 2025, Theater Vorpommern also presented its annual open-air production in the Eldena monastery ruins. Repeat performances of earlier productions and new plays attracted the Greifswald audience around the Cistercian ruins.

The 2025 Sommertheater Eldena continued the tradition of Theater Vorpommern's open-air season. In the Cistercian Eldena monastery ruins, spoken theatre pieces were performed in several shows, usually starting in the evening at 7:30 PM, sometimes earlier on Sundays.

The monastery ruins once again provided an extraordinary backdrop: free-standing brick walls, high window reveals, and views of the historic monastery complex. The season, as usual, spanned June and July.
