The 2025 Sun Solstice Festival at the Groß Raden Open-Air Museum invited families and history enthusiasts to the reconstructed temple fortress. Rituals, stories, and activities centered around the longest day of the year formed the core of the program.
In June 2025, the Groß Raden Archaeological Open-Air Museum celebrated its annual summer solstice. Between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., reenactments of early medieval rituals, tales of light gods, craft demonstrations, and children's activities took place in the reconstructed temple fortress.
The format was, as usual, quiet and family-friendly — no combat demonstrations, but plenty of time for conversations with the living history reenactors. Admission was at the regular museum rate of €3.50 for adults and €2 for concessions.
