Edition 2025 — Sommermusiken am Dom
In 2025, Brandenburg Cathedral once again opened its doors for the traditional Sommermusiken am Dom concert series. For two months, symphony concerts, vocal ensembles, organ series, and promenade concerts shaped the musical life at the Cathedral Chapter — from the opening concert in June to the organ finale in early August.
The 2025 Edition
The 2025 season continued the tradition of previous years: top-class soloists from home and abroad, regular performances by the Brandenburg City and Cathedral Choir and the Brandenburg Symphony Orchestra, complemented by chamber formats in St. Peter's Chapel and promenade concerts in the Cloister. The Sommermusiken am Dom thus remains one of Brandenburg's most distinguished concert series.
Brandenburg Cathedral Chapter as an Anchor
The series is supported by the Brandenburg Cathedral Chapter, which has shaped musical life at the Cathedral for centuries. With the cantorate, the Cathedral Choir, and a network of freelance ensembles, the musical substance is exceptionally deep.
