Overview

The 2025 Sommerlese celebrated the 5th anniversary of the author readings in the Stadtprozelten quarry. On three Friday evenings in the summer, Eva Adam, Günter Huth, and Eva Völler read from their latest works — ranging from Franconian dialect comedy and the Schoppenfetzer crime novel to historical crime fiction.

The 5th Anniversary Edition of the Sommerlese im Steinbruch took place in 2025 on three Friday evenings:

On June 27, 2025, Eva Adam opened with her Franconian dialect comedy "Dicke Eier in Unterfilzbach". On July 11, 2025, crime writer Günter Huth read from "Der Schoppenfetzer und die Nacht des Frevels" — the latest installment in the crime series set near Würzburg. The series concluded on July 25, 2025, with Eva Völler presenting her historical crime novel "Alte Taten, neuer Zorn".
