In 2025, the Sommerfestival Schloss Berge once again confirmed its reputation as one of the most popular open-air festivals in the northern Ruhr area. Three days of DJ sets, Schlager-pop acts, family entertainment in the park, and the traditional Saturday evening fireworks attracted tens of thousands of visitors from Gelsenkirchen and the surrounding area. The city of Gelsenkirchen and ELE drew positive conclusions and continued the format with an expanded lineup in 2026.

In 2025, the ELE-Card logic further established itself as a hallmark — the free family access for ELE customers ensures strong visitor loyalty in Gelsenkirchen and the Emscher-Lippe region. The Partkyumpel Stage with electronic music again attracted a younger audience.
