Edition 2025 — Sommerfest Grugahalle
The 52nd Sommerfest an der Grugahalle Essen took place in July 2025. Ten days of family funfair with rides, fireworks, and the large Ruhr area flea market attracted tens of thousands of families from the Ruhr area.
In 2025, the Sommerfest was once again one of the well-attended folk festivals in the Ruhr area. The Interessengesellschaft Schausteller mbH organized the proven format with rides, food stalls, and a flea market.

Ten days of festival operation with fireworks for the opening and the largest flea market in the Ruhr area on one of the weekends.
