Sommerdampf — Historic Engine Shed Wittenberge — Edition 2025

Sommerdampf 2025 offered a complete railway weekend in mid-June 2025 at the Historic Engine Shed Wittenberge. Steam and diesel locomotives were shown in operation, cab rides made the railway experience tangible, draisine rides and the traditional locomotive parade on the historic turntable were also part of the program.

The workshop tours through the roundhouse, the model railway exhibition by local railway enthusiasts, and the museum catering made the weekend a family-friendly event — typical of the Wittenberge engine shed tradition. The museum is normally open on Saturdays from April to October, with two major events per year (Frühjahrsdampf and Sommerdampf).
