Overview

The Sommerbühne 2025 once again took place over approximately five weeks on Theodor-Heuss-Platz in front of the Bremerhaven City Theatre. As since 2023, the City Theatre, City Library, Art Association, and Cultural Office jointly curated an open-air programme of theatre, readings, performances, and music.

In 2025, the Sommerbühne once again transformed Theodor-Heuss-Platz into an open-air venue for several weeks. In front of the City Theatre's portal, a large stage and a grandstand with over 300 seats were set up. The focus was on a summer production by the City Theatre, supplemented by readings from the City Library, formats from the Art Association, and a diverse supporting programme. As in previous years, the festival was supported by the cultural institutions around the square in collaboration with the Seestadt's Cultural Office.
