Overview
The 35th Sommerakademie Schwalenberg 2025 once again brought hundreds of art enthusiasts to the small hill town of Lippe. Four weeks of Werkhaus activities with painting, sculpture, printmaking, and plein-air painting made the summer in the painters' town a dense art month.
The 2025 edition confirmed the Sommerakademie's position as the most important cultural tourism driver for Schieder-Schwalenberg. The workshop at the Werkhaus was fully booked, the kiln at the artists' house was inaugurated, and the team of instructors drew a positive conclusion. The tradition dating back to 1978 was seamlessly carried into the next season.
Programme
Four weeks of academy activities at the Werkhaus with courses in painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, and plein-air painting.
