Edition 2025 — Sohland Hexenbrennen
In 2025 too, the traditional Hexenbrennen was held in Sohland an der Spree on April 30. With live music, beer, bratwurst, and the large Hexenfeuer in the evening, locals and visitors from all over Upper Lusatia gathered — a classic community festival that keeps the region's Walpurgis Night tradition alive.
Hexenbrennen 2025
As every year, on April 30, 2025, the people of Sohland and numerous guests from Lusatia gathered at the Hexenbrennplatz on Schluckenauer Straße. Live music, draft beer, grilled bratwurst, and Hexenpunsch created a festive folk festival atmosphere.
As darkness fell, the large Hexenfeuer was lit — the central highlight of the evening. The tradition of the Upper Lusatian Walpurgis Night celebrations was thus maintained once again.
