Edition 2025 — Soester Schützenfest

In 2025, the Soester Bürgerschützen also celebrated their traditional festival on the Johanni weekend. The 'Wippen' at the Great Pond in the preceding week attracted numerous onlookers as always, the grand parade on Saturday moved hundreds of marksmen through the Soest old town, and the King's Balls filled the festival tent. The Bürger-Schützen-Verein Soest e.V. continued the centuries-old marksmen tradition of the Hanseatic city.

The 2025 Bürgerschützenfest kept the Soest marksmen's year alive in its proven form: 'Wippen' at the Great Pond, assembly of the companies, parade through the old town, and King's Balls. Families, marksmen, and guests filled the medieval alleys, and the Bürger-Schützen-Verein Soest e.V. was already preparing for the 2026 date, which coincides with the Soester CSD.
