Edition 2025 — Skandaløs
The 14th edition of the Skandaløs Festival took place in August 2025 again at the Hülltoft Tief swimming lake in Neukirchen. With indie pop, hip-hop, electronics, world music, and an accompanying program of theatre, readings, and workshops, the North Frisian indie festival confirmed its reputation as Schleswig-Holstein's most unconventional festival destination.
Review: Skandaløs 2025
In 2025, the Hamburg-based association Kulturflut SKANDALØS e.V. once again transformed the Hülltoft Tief swimming lake in Neukirchen into the North German Festival for Music & Utopia for three August days. Capacity 5,000, camping directly at the festival grounds, a lineup spanning indie pop, hip-hop, electronics, and world music.
As in previous years, the festival was accompanied by a program of theatre performances, readings, workshops, and community activities. The 'Festival for Music & Utopia' concept remained true in 2025 to the non-commercial, political, and experimental ethos that has defined the festival since 2011.
