2025 Review

The Silscheder Weihnachtsmarkt 2025 continued the tradition of the neighborhood Advent market in Gevelsberg-Silschede. FC Schwarz-Weiß Silschede organized the event as in previous years at the Bürgerplatz near the Waldstadion. Around 25 wooden huts offered their Advent selection: regional arts and crafts, club huts with homemade goods for charitable purposes, culinary offerings from mulled wine to crêpes, and live performances by local choirs and brass bands.

Admission remained free as usual, with proceeds going to the club's activities. With its unpretentious, family-friendly character, the market remained one of the typical district festivals of the Ennepe-Ruhr district — not a major tourist event, but a true club and neighborhood celebration.
