Overview
The 16th International Shostakovich Days Gohrisch took place from June 26 to 29, 2025. Four days of chamber music and string quartets in the spa town of Gohrisch — supported by the partnership with the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden and a circle of international soloists and ensembles.
The 16th edition of the Shostakovich Days, as every year, attracted an international audience of Shostakovich enthusiasts and chamber music connoisseurs to Saxon Switzerland. Concerts in the Gohrisch Concert Barn were the focus — flanked by lectures, film screenings, the award ceremony of the Shostakovich Prize, and guided hikes through the National Park. The Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden was again present with soloists in chamber formation.
