Edition 2025 — SHMF Kappeln
The St. Nicholas Church Kappeln was also an SHMF venue in the summer of 2025, hosting several concerts between July and August. As in previous years, the focus was on chamber music, vocal ensembles, and solo programs — in the acoustically exceptional atmosphere of Northern Germany's last late-Baroque hall church.
The SHMF 2025 season continued the tradition of St. Nicholas Church as a festival venue. As always, the combination of historical architecture, intimate acoustics, and high-caliber programming was the hallmark of the Kappeln concerts. Tickets for several concerts sold out quickly.
As always, the organizer was Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival gGmbH, which presents around 100 venues throughout Schleswig-Holstein every summer. Kappeln is part of its preferred repertoire — the town on the Schlei offers a combination of harbor, old town, and church that concertgoers enjoy linking with a day trip.
