In 2025, the St. Laurentiuskirche Tönning was also a venue for the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival. As part of the summer festival calendar, a concert was held in the baroque town church at the mouth of the Eider — as usual, with a focus on chamber music and in the characteristic acoustics of the sacred space.

For years, the St. Laurentiuskirche has been part of the SHMF's program. In 2025, a festival concert also took place in Tönning — a chamber music program in the baroque town church, whose ceiling fresco from 1704 and its two organs are among the most acoustically impressive sacred spaces on the west coast of Schleswig-Holstein. As at all SHMF venues, the concert attracted an engaged audience from Tönning, the Nordfriesland district, and the entire west coast.
