Overview

The SHMF 2025 continued its tradition as Northern Germany's largest classical music festival, offering a dense program at over 100 venues in Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, and Denmark. Husum, with concerts at the NCC and St. Marien, was once again among the permanent stops.

The summer edition of 2025 once again brought international soloists, orchestras, and ensembles to Schleswig-Holstein. In Husum, concerts at the NordseeCongressCentrum alternated with sacred programs in St. Marien. The SHMF once again confirmed its ambition to make classical music accessible beyond the major cities — and the North Frisian district town found itself on the schedule of one of Europe's most ambitious festivals.
