The Shanty Festival Travemünde 2025 traditionally took place on the first weekend of July — over 35 international choirs on 5 stages along the Trave, with a mass choir on Saturday and a sailors' service on Sunday.

As every year, on the first weekend of July 2025, international shanty choirs filled the promenade along the Trave in Travemünde. The mass choir — the world's largest — was performed on the main stage on Saturday afternoon. The Lübeck Shanty Choir Möwenschiet, as is traditional, handled the opening and the sailors' service.
