Overview

The Sennfeld Peace Festival 2025 was celebrated around the first Sunday in September on the old village court square. It included the manual erection of the approximately 30 m high pine tree on Saturday, a church service, the Planrede, and the Plantanz in Franconian attire on Sunday, followed by further dances and Ständele on the following days. UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, historic peace festival since 1649.

Sennfeld Peace Festival 2025 – Review

In 2025, Sennfeld once again celebrated its traditional Peace Festival around the first Sunday in September. The UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage attracted numerous visitors and former residents back to the village, as it does every year.

2025 Program

As every year, the approximately 30 m high pine tree was erected by hand in front of the parish church on Saturday. On Sunday, a church service, the Planrede, and the Plantanz in Franconian festive attire with waltzes, Rheinländer, Schottische, and Franconian dances followed. On the following days, dancing continued and Ständele were performed; the Nachkirchweih on the subsequent Sunday concluded the festival.
