Edition 2025 — Scotfest Goch
In 2025, the Scottish Cultural Association Xanten again brought pipe bands, Highland Games, and solo competitions to Goch town park. International bands from Scotland, Ireland, Belgium, and the Netherlands competed against German rivals, creating a Scottish atmosphere on the Lower Rhine for two days.
In 2025, the Scottish Festival took place as usual on a weekend in June. Pipe bands from several countries marched through Goch town park, the Heavy Highland Games had a strong international field of competitors, and the solo competitions decided national and supra-regional titles.
Charitable fundraising for the Kenya Team of Stiftsgymnasium Xanten was conducted — raffles, donations, and auctions again raised a substantial amount for the educational partnership. Since 2008, the festival has established itself as one of the most Scottish events in NRW.
