Schwibbogenfest 2025 — 31st Edition

In 2025, the Schwibbogenfest once again attracted thousands of visitors to the small Ore Mountains mining town of Johanngeorgenstadt. Over two Advent days, Schwibbogen makers, Räuchermann turners, and pyramid builders presented their crafts live to the public. The miners' parade with the mining brotherhoods in historical uniforms was once again the emotional highlight.

The special exhibition in the Heimatstube on Johanngeorgenstadt's mining history added a historical dimension to the market — the UNESCO World Heritage status of the Ore Mountains mining region is palpable everywhere in this western Ore Mountains mining town. The 2025 festival confirmed Johanngeorgenstadt's position as one of the most traditional Advent destinations in the Ore Mountains.
