Overview
The 13th Schwebebahn-Lauf 2025 confirmed the event's reputation as one of North Rhine-Westphalia's most attractive city run events. Thousands of runners from Wuppertal and the entire Bergisches Land region started on the B7 under the suspension railway. Schwebebahn-Lauf Wuppertal gGmbH drew a positive conclusion; the format will continue in 2026 in its established structure.
In 2025, the run once again embodied Wuppertal's charm: highly modern event organization with timing chips and online results, combined with the nostalgic appeal of the over 120-year-old suspension railway. Main sponsor Stadtsparkasse Wuppertal and Bergische Diakonie remained committed.
