Overview

The 2025 edition of the Schwarzenberg Christmas Market ran from December 5th to 14th in the historic old town. Highlights, as every year, were the fairy tale parade on the 2nd Advent Sunday and the Grand Miners' Parade. Daily, traders, stages, and the medieval fair in the castle courtyard were open with free admission.

The 2025 Schwarzenberg Christmas Market followed the proven concept: ten days of market operations in the listed old town with a stage programme, carefully selected traders, and medieval activities in the castle courtyard. Among the regular programme guests were the Schwarzenberg fairy tale parades on the 2nd Advent Sunday and the Grand Miners' Parade, which traditionally leads the hall of the Western Ore Mountains mining culture through the old town in torchlight.

The market attracted visitors from all over the Erzgebirgskreis district, from Saxony, and beyond. In 2025, the world's oldest surviving large Christmas pyramid and the life-sized Christmas nativity scene also served as iconic landmarks.
