Edition 2025 — Schwarzebeersfest

The Schwarzebeersfest 2025 once again attracted numerous visitors from the Thuringian Forest, southern Thuringia, and all over Germany to Vesser. The Heimatabend with the traditional crowning of the queen, the berry cake buffet in the Offenstall, and the craft market made the weekend a cult summer event in southern Suhl.

The 2025 edition continued the tradition maintained for 25 years. The Bilberry Queen of 2025 was ceremoniously crowned on Friday evening, and on Sunday morning, the Offenstall opened with the homemade cakes from the Vesser women. The festival retained its typical character: authentic, village-driven, with a strong connection to regional natural culture and the bilberry tradition of the Thuringian Forest.
