Overview

The Schumann Festival 2025 offered over ten days of concerts in honour of the composer born in Zwickau. The Robert-Schumann-Haus, Konzert- und Ballhaus Neue Welt, and the Schwanenteichpark were venues for piano recitals, Lieder recitals, choral concerts, and the traditional birthday concert on 8 June.

Schumann Festival 2025

The 2025 edition of the Schumann Festival Zwickau, over ten days, was dedicated to the works of Robert Schumann with concerts at the city's central venues. Piano evenings at the Robert-Schumann-Haus, chamber concerts at the Neue Welt, the traditional Festival of Lights at the Schwanenteich, and the birthday concert on 8 June at the Schumann Monument formed the cornerstones.

The festival once again confirmed its status as the most important Schumann destination in Germany, while also laying the groundwork for the 2026 motto “Schumann and the Poets”.
