Overview

The 45th edition of the Roßwein School and Heritage Festival took place in June 2025 — a full festival week from June 16th to 22nd with city gates, Naadelbäumchen, school celebrations, sports competitions, concerts, and a festival tent. The procession on Sunday, June 22nd, was the traditional highlight with floats, clubs, school classes, and thousands of spectators.

45th School and Heritage Festival 2025

In 2025, the School and Heritage Festival once again transformed the small Middle Saxon town into a decorated festive setting for a week. The street mayors organized the Naadelbäumchen, garlands, and city gates; the schools held their ceremonies and performances; St. Marien Town Church opened its doors for concerts; and on Sunday, June 22nd, the grand procession through the city center crowned the weekend. Floats from Roßwein's history and present, carnival associations, the fire department, and school classes paraded through the decorated city, followed by thousands of spectators, many of whom returned to Roßwein from all over Germany specifically for the procession.
