Overview

In 2025, the St. Johannes Brotherhood Willebadessen celebrated its traditional Schützenfest as usual on the last weekend of June. At the king shooting, David Arzer became the new Schützenkönig (marksmen king) — he reigns until the 2026 Schützenfest. Three days of festival tent with a coronation ball, parade, and Schützenmesse characterized the weekend in the historic town center of Willebadessen.

The 2025 edition brought a new Schützenkönig: David Arzer succeeded the previous one and was crowned in the festival tent. The usual program ran for three days — coronation ball on Saturday, parade on Sunday, Schützenmesse and Frühschoppen on Monday.

The Schützenfest of the St. Johannes Brotherhood has shaped the summer in Willebadessen for decades and, along with the king shooting of the St. Sebastian Brotherhood (mid-June), is the most important club event of the year in the small mountain town on the Eggegebirge.
