Overview

The Wanlo Marksmen's Festival 2025 traditionally took place on the third weekend of May, concluding the reign of the previous king. Three days of customs with a maypole, festive parade, bird shooting, and Klompenball — as practiced in Wanlo for decades — brought together the fraternity, families, and guests from the Lower Rhine region.

In 2025, the Wanlo Marksmen's Festival also followed the established three-day schedule: opening on Saturday with a church service and maypole, a grand festival Sunday with the Grand Tattoo and festive parade, and bird shooting and Klompenball on Monday. At the King's shooting, Oliver Weißbach emerged victorious and was proclaimed, along with Christina, as the new royal couple for the 2025/26 season.
