Edition 2025 — 200 Years of St. Andreas Bestwig

The 2025 edition of the St. Andreas Schützenbruderschaft Velmede-Bestwig was the prelude to the 200th anniversary in 2026. The association used the year to prepare for the festive year and to mobilize members and friendly clubs.

The previous year's 2025 edition followed the usual format of the Schützenbruderschaft. With the 200th anniversary in 2026, the event will be significantly expanded – and an Emperor will be proclaimed instead of a King, a rare distinction in Sauerland's marksmen tradition.

Programme

Classic Sauerland Schützenfest with bird shoot, King proclamation, festive parade, and coronation ball in the Schützenhalle.
