Overview

In 2025, the Schützenverein Lotte e.V. von 1659 also celebrated its traditional marksmen's festival with a parade, bird shooting, king proclamation, and king's ball. With over 366 years of club history, the festival is one of the most traditional marksmen's events in the Tecklenburger Land.

The 2025 edition of the Lotte marksmen's festival continued the centuries-old tradition of SV Lotte. The reigning king and queen were determined during the bird shooting — an honor that involves numerous representative duties in the Westphalian marksmen's tradition.

Founded in 1659, SV Lotte is one of the few German marksmen's clubs with roots directly in the 17th century — a tradition that runs through all generations and shapes club life to this day. The Tecklenburger Land, with its mix of Münsterland park landscape and the Osnabrück hills, is one of Westphalia's most beautiful natural regions.
