Edition 2025 — Schützenfest Sundern
The Sundern Schützenfest 2025 followed the traditional three-day schedule from July 5th to 7th, with shooting ceremonies, the Grand Zapfenstreich on Saturday evening, a parade on Sunday, and bird shooting on Monday. Sunday was Family Day with free admission. King Jonas Kampmann and Queen Felizitas Naumann were confirmed in their reign.
The Sundern Schützenfest 2025 proceeded according to the established customs of the UNESCO-recognized tradition. On Saturday evening, the Grand Zapfenstreich at 9 PM marked a clear ceremonial highlight, with marching bands and torchbearers providing a dignified setting for the ritual. On Sunday, families enjoyed the program with free admission — brunch, parade, children's dance. Monday finally brought the bird shooting at 8:15 AM, the afternoon parade, and the traditional free beer to conclude.
