Edition 2025 — Schützenfest Nienberge
The 2025 Schützenfest continued the almost 400-year tradition of the Sankt Jacobi Schützenbruderschaft Nienberge. As every year, the bird shooting, the procession through the village center, and the proclamation of the new royal couple in the festival tent were the highlights — followed by the festival ball until late into the night.
In 2025, the Schützenfest once again brought the people of Nienberge together around the brotherhood. The assembly of association delegates in their historical uniforms, the sound of the music bands, and the traditional sequence from bird shooting to the evening festival ball made the event a typical example of Westphalian marksmen's culture — characterized by community, continuity, and a history dating back to the Thirty Years' War.
