Overview

The 98th Schützenfest of the St. Cornelius Schützenbruderschaft Geyen 1927 e.V. took place in 2025, as is traditional, around Ascension Day at and around the Schützenhaus Geyen. Four days of festivities with roll call, shooting competition, parade, dance evening, King's Ball, and family program. Proven Rhenish Schützen traditions that have gathered the people of the Pulheim district of Geyen annually for almost 100 years — a dress rehearsal for the 99th.

98th Schützenfest — Tradition in the Pulheim District

In 2025, the Geyen shooting companies once again gathered around Ascension Day for the annual festival weekend. Dance evening, parade, election of the king, and subsequent crowning ceremony — the proven festival schedule of the St. Cornelius club has followed the same rhythm for generations, keeping the Rhenish shooting tradition alive in the Pulheim district.

The members of the St. Cornelius Schützenbruderschaft Geyen, the brass band, and the friendly shooting clubs from the surrounding Pulheim districts worked together during the festival weekend. The family program with magician Minimax and a bouncy castle once again made the Schützenfest an opportunity for the next generation of shooters — an important pillar of the club's work in preparation for the 100th-anniversary celebration in 2027.
