Overview
2025 was the alternating year: Instead of in Schlangen, the Schützenfest was celebrated in Kohlstädt in September 2025 (200th anniversary of the Schützenverein von 1825 Kohlstädt). The Schlangen shooters visited their neighbors, and their own festival grounds at Mühlenstraße remained quiet this year. After 2024, it was clear: Schlangen would be next in 2026.
In the two-year rotation with Kohlstädt, Schlangen's main Schützenfest was suspended in 2025. The club was a guest at the anniversary festival in Kohlstädt and participated in the parade there. Its own shooting activities (club competitions, members' meetings, participation in Remembrance Day) proceeded as usual.
