Overview

In 2025 too, the Heimatschutzverein Lichtenau invited to the traditional Schützenfest in the Schützenhalle at the end of June. For three days, the parade, royal shoot, and festival marquee shaped city life in the energy city on the Eggegebirge — an unbroken tradition since 1663.

The 2025 Schützenfest in Lichtenau followed the established schedule: Saturday opening and dance evening, Sunday grand parade with marksmen's departments and music clubs through the city center, Monday royal shoot and coronation of the new majesties. The Schützenhalle on Simon-Archenhold-Straße was the center of events, with hundreds of members and guests gathering daily for the marquee, dancing, and tradition.
