The 2025 Friduwi shooting festival took place in May as usual. The Friduwi Metelen Women's Shooting Association followed its established daily schedule — Muster at Sendplatz, march off with the Metelen Fife and Drum Corps, bird shooting in the Zauberwald as the highlight in the afternoon, proclamation of the new Queen, festival parade through the town, and the public Queen's Ball in the festival tent at Schützenwald as the convivial conclusion of the day.
The women's shooting society confirmed its character as one of the rare female fraternity traditions in the Westphalian Münsterland and remained a modern adaptation of the centuries-old male shooting culture, with its own Queen, its own festival tent, and its own festival culture.
