The grand Schützenfest of the FWG Altena takes place every three years. 2025 was not a major festival year; instead, smaller club activities, shooting competitions, and the annual club festival marked the calendar of the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Gesellschaft.
In 2025, the FWG Altena focused on preparations for the grand Schützenfest in 2026. At the club level, shooting competitions, meetings, and the annual smaller club festival took place. The five companies — Rahmede, Freiheit, Mühlendorf, Nette, and Kelleramt — prepared the company formations, platoon order, and king candidates for 2026 during this phase.
Even without a major festival, the FWG remained present in Altena's social life through club activities and the preservation of customs.
