Overview

The Alme Schützenfest 2025 took place over the Whitsun weekend in the Alme community hall. The St. Sebastian & St. Ludgerus Schützenbruderschaft organized the traditional four-day festival with a parade, bird shooting, proclamation of the king, and King's Ball. It remains one of the most important village festivals in Preußisch Oldendorf.

Schützenfest 2025 in Alme

Over the Whitsun weekend 2025, the Alme Schützenbruderschaft continued its Whitsun tradition. Four days of festivities with the classic schedule — parade on Whit Saturday, bird shooting on Whit Sunday, grand parade on Whit Monday, conclusion on Tuesday.

The small village with around 1,000 inhabitants celebrates the Schützenfest with a high participation rate from the village community. The St. Sebastian & St. Ludgerus Association remains the central organizing body. A look ahead to 2026 — and the cancellation of the Maispaß in downtown Preußisch Oldendorf — shifts the focus further towards the Alme village festival.
