Edition 2025 — Schützenfest Huckingen
The Schützen- und Volksfest Duisburg-Huckingen 2025 took place from August 29 to 31 at the Schützenplatz Im Ährenfeld. Three days of marksmen's brotherhood tradition with keg tapping, parade, tattoo, bird shooting, and crowning of the king. Matthias Füsgen was proclaimed the new Schützenkönig.
The 2025 Schützenfest once again continued the centuries-old tradition of the St. Sebastianus Schützenbruderschaft Duisburg-Huckingen. From August 29 to 31, the marquee dominated the Schützenplatz Im Ährenfeld. The parade with friendly brotherhoods, the grand tattoo on Saturday evening, and the bird shooting on Sunday were the highlights. With Matthias Füsgen, the brotherhood gained a new Schützenkönig who took over representation for the coming season. "Glaube, Sitte, Heimat" — the motto was lived out in 2025 as well.
