Schönbusch Serenades 2025

The 2025 concert season of the Schönbusch Serenades in the Schönbusch Park festival hall once again offered the proven blend of historically informed performance practice and intimate concert atmosphere. The ensemble kleinformat, led by Sylvia Ackermann (fortepiano), performed in three concerts – in May, June, and September.

Atmosphere and Repertoire

The repertoire ranged from Mozart's works to Haydn and a preview of Rossini. Using period instruments (baroque violin, transverse flute, natural horn, fortepiano), kleinformat interprets classical works with historical accuracy – a specialty that has received much acclaim in the southern German chamber music scene. The neoclassical festival hall of Schönbusch Palace Park, with its Flora ceiling fresco, once again provided the ideal backdrop. All 130 seats were well-attended at all concerts. Visitors traditionally combined the concert evening with a stroll through the historic English landscape garden.
