Overview

The 39th season of the Schönberger Musiksommer took place from mid-June to the end of September 2025 in St. Laurentius Schönberg and other venues in the Probstei region. This concert series for vocal and chamber music featured national and international ensembles, including tributes to Bach, classical piano and chamber music, and special concerts with jazz and brass.

Season 2025 Review

The 39th season of the Schönberger Musiksommer reaffirmed the concert series' reputation as one of Schleswig-Holstein's most important festivals for vocal and chamber music. For over 14 weeks, concerts were held every Tuesday at 8 PM in the St. Laurentius Church, complemented by special performances at the Bechelsdorfer Schulzenhof and other venues in the Probstei region.

Audiences experienced a rich program of a cappella ensembles, chamber orchestras, and soloists. The combination of medieval church acoustics and high-caliber programming once again defined the unique character of this festival, which consciously prioritizes quality over scale.
