Overview

The 2025 Schneeberg Miner's Day was celebrated on July 22 with the traditional program of tower fanfare, mountain concert, miners' parade in historical costumes, church service in St. Wolfgang's Church, and a closing concert. The centuries-old tradition commemorating the 1496 wage strike once again drew numerous visitors to the Ore Mountains mining town.

Miner's Day 2025 — Proven Tradition

On July 22, 2025, the Miner's Day took place in its usual order: tower fanfare in the early afternoon, mountain concert with the miners' choir 'Glück Auf', festive procession for the miners' parade starting at 6:15 PM, church service in St. Wolfgang's Church at 7 PM, and closing concert at 8:30 PM.

Miners' costumes, mountain music, and the spiritual element characterize the nature of this unique Schneeberg tradition, which, as part of the Ore Mountains' mining culture, has been recognized as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2016.
