Edition 2025 — Schmetterlingszauber
In 2025, the Schmetterlingszauber once again attracted tens of thousands of visitors to Tierpark Gettorf. For three months, tropical butterflies fluttered freely through the Paradise Hall, and families and nature enthusiasts took advantage of the special exhibition for close encounters with the colorful insects. Included in the regular zoo admission, with no additional charge.
The 2025 season followed the established format: daily opening during zoo hours, several feeding stations, hundreds of live butterflies from tropical breeding programs worldwide. As in previous years, mornings were the quietest times for intensive observation.
The special exhibition has been a summer highlight of the zoo for years and is specifically promoted in the region's family marketing.
