At the baroque Schloss Türnich, between Cologne and the Lower Rhine plain, one of North Rhine-Westphalia's most unusual Advent experiences unfolds. The Hofweihnacht extends from December 2nd to 20th, 2026, over three consecutive Advent weekends: December 4th–6th, 11th–13th, and 18th–20th.

Park-and-Ride: Park in the adjacent industrial area, a shuttle bus runs every 15 minutes on weekends to the castle. Parking directly at the castle is limited. Public transport: Bus to the Türnich/Lindenallee stop, direct access from there.

Schloss Türnich — Baroque Estate with Park

Schloss Türnich was built in the 18th century as a moated castle and is located in the Türnich district of Kerpen, south of Cologne, in the Rhein-Erft district. The estate, with its castle park, castle chapel, manor house, and outbuildings, is one of the most beautiful baroque complexes in the region. The Hofweihnacht, alongside the traditional weekly market and cultural events, is one of the castle's most important public attractions.
