Edition 2025 — SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE
The 11th edition of SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE 2025 took place in late summer 2025 at Karlsruhe Palace. For four weeks, international artists projected their works daily onto the 170-meter-long palace facade. The total visitor count since the festival's start in 2015 exceeded two million in 2025 — admission remained free as always.
SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE 2025
The eleventh edition of the SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE Light Festival ran in August and September 2025 at Karlsruhe Palace. As every year since 2015, the approximately 170-meter-long Baroque facade was transformed into a giant screen; the international BBBank Award winners presented their new productions in the daily rotating program.
2025 marked a milestone: the total visitor count since the festival's inception surpassed the two million mark — proof that free open-air art works and strengthens Karlsruhe's position as a city of media art. The Palace Square lawn and Palace Garden were well-filled every evening during the four weeks. Admission remained free as always.
