Schlosshofspiele Roth

In 2025, the ensemble of the Schlosshof-Spiele Roth performed another main summer production in the historic courtyard of Castle Ratibor. As in the almost 70 years since its founding in 1957, the Renaissance inner courtyard offered a unique theatrical backdrop, characterised by sandstone facades and Renaissance architecture.

The tradition of the Schlosshofspiele thrives on the combination of historic ambience, the voluntary commitment of the organising association, and a loyal audience from the Roth district, the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region, and the nearby Franconian Lake District. The 2025 edition continued this tradition, underscoring the festival's cultural significance for the Middle Franconian cultural landscape.
