Overview

In 2025, the University of Münster's rectorate once again hosted a lively Schlossgartenfest in the palace garden at the Prince-Bishop's Palace. Starting at 5 PM, the family and science program took place in the Botanical Garden, followed by the main stage in the evening with a Big Band and DJ set — a classic of Münster's university summer, which once again gathered several thousand university members and friends of the WWU. Cashless concept and food trucks were also an integral part in 2025.

Schlossgartenfest 2025

In 2025, the Schlossgartenfest again took place in the established format. Pre-program in the Botanical Garden starting at 5 PM, official welcome and main program starting at 7 PM, dancing until after midnight. As always, with a Big Band, a university sports demonstration, and a DJ set on the main stage in the Schlossgarten.

The festival attracts several thousand visitors each year and is considered one of the largest university summer evenings in Germany. The cashless concept and food trucks were also an integral part in 2025.
